On this website, the Retirement Savings and Retiree Benefits documents are complete SPDs, which include descriptions of their benefit plans and their provisions, and do not rely on any other sections of this Guide. 

For all other benefits plans on this Guide — those listed under Healthcare; Spending Accounts; Disability, Life & Accident Insurance; Other Benefits — the complete SPD, for each benefit plan, includes the following sections: 

  • Plan coverage details – Separate documents for each benefit plan
  • About This Guide  - Provides additional legal information, including information about the role this Guide serves as summary plan descriptions ("SPDs") of the benefit plans
  • What Happens If – Describes how different life events and situations can affect your benefits or provide you with opportunities to adjust your benefits coverage
  • Plan Administration – Provides administrative details such as plan numbers and statements of your rights, including your right to appeal, which is required by law
  • Contacts – A full list of contact details for all of the plans

The About this Guide, What Happens If, Plan Administration, and Contacts sections are separated from the specific plan details to minimize repetition and to keep related information together.
